The foot over bridges proposed to be built by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority at several points on the eastern express highway solicited a competitive response from design architects to create an aesthetically appealing piece of urban infrastructure using state-of-the-art technology. This design incorporates an elevated walkway, capsule lifts for automated vertical circulation, stairway and stalls for selling wares at the ends of the walkway as per the requirements of the MMRDA.
